I placed my order on 23rd August, 3 days went by I did not receive any update. I was worried, I emailed them, no reply, I called them but their phone was switched off, Whatsapp’ed them but just a single tick so they were offline.
They should inform customers saying they have a long holiday, they came to office on 28th August and order was processed on that day.
They sent me a tracking link the same day, but the order was picked up on 30th August after 2 days. I was expecting delivery in 2 days since I had read so many positive reviews about their delivery speed, it took them 3 days to deliver from India to Germany which is about 6500 km. I live 730 km away from them in, my order was delivered on 2nd September. So I placed my order on 23rd Aug, the order was processed on 28th Aug, the pick-up was done on 30th Aug, and delivery was done on 2nd Sep.
I had purchased this as a birthday gift, as it took 10 days to deliver, and this delay completely ruined my experience.
Now coming to the razor I believe it is overpriced. Earlier we used to get similar razors for 100 rupees from street vendors. I had purchased these streetside razors twice both razors lasted for 5 years. Before buying this razor online, I went to Mumbai again but sadly there were no street vendors; this time, I checked in multiple beauty stores too, but it wasn’t available there too. Since I was short on time because this was a birthday gift, I had to purchase this online paying 4 times more.
But even after paying 4 times more and getting this late delivery made me very sad.
Pearl shaving has increased its razor prices very quickly in a short period as well.
Coming to the Razor, it’s a mild shaver, paired with Gillette 7 O’Clock Super Stainless ( Green). Works fine. The weight is slightly heavy, the handle is tall. I chose this color since I purchased it for my sister, I liked the color, and it suits well for ladies. So added 1 star to my rating, hope it won’t come off soon.
Overall if you live in India I would suggest you go to your local bazaars and check over there because paying 4 times more doesn’t give you 4x the quality. I won’t be buying from Pearl in the future.
